Upon returning from overseas, Jason started a Business Consulting company to aid business leaders in their plans and strategies for growth.
Founder and Managing Director based in Adelaide, South Australia. A position held for 4 years.
Jason was approached to join the ChindAsia team to bring a new dimension to the company and prepare for an IPO or company sale. After growing the company’s range of product offerings and significantly increasing their footprint across the SEA region, Jason was tasked with developing the company’s first public entertainment venue and subsequent franchise model. Seeking a venue in Bangkok, Thailand and working with key suppliers, designers, contractors, PR firms and the BOD, Jason successfully launched WHISGARS in May 2013. This entailed visiting and negotiating exclusive supply contracts with leading whisky distilleries in Scotland and various cigar manufacturers in Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. He then grew the footprint to a franchise model aiding the company in opening a further 4 locations in Ploenchit, Silom, Koh Samui and Phuket.
In 2004, Jason co-founded Fast Flow Australia in Brisbane. Fast Flow is one of the worldwide leaders in Siphonic drainage technology. Utilising plastic piping technologies, proprietary design software and engineered roof outlets, Fast Flow offers clients a cost effective, architectural pleasing design solution for rainwater and civil management of complex building projects. Partnering with Fast Flow Group in 2004, and growing rapidly due to his uncanny knack of networking and relationship building, Jason quickly moved the company into suitable offices and began hiring staff. Building up the design, operations and sales teams was done swiftly and successfully with some great talent being identified and rightfully employed. Securing large commercial and industrial projects such as Westfield shopping centres, various airports, major distribution centres and other high profile and iconic projects, Jason soon opened offices in both Melbourne and Sydney to increase the companies reach, along with a fully functioning fabrication workshop to support the on site staff. Capitalising on organic growth, Fast Flow soon secured the exclusive importation and distribution rights for Resintech HDPE pipes and some of the largest projects on the East Coast of Australia. Jason was also invited to join a sub-commitee of AS3500 to assist in producing an Australian Standard for Siphonic design and technology systems.
Beginning at Plumbing World in 1993 in Adelaide as a delivery driver and counter hand until the company was acquired by Reece in 1997. Jason held a range of store positions including counter sales, 3IC and Sales Representative in various stores. In 1999, Jason was transferred to Perth to undertake the newly developed role of Product Development Manager for new technologies and exclusive products such as Geberit HDPE, Dizayn PPR and Auspex XLPE. Jason was then tasked with developing the entire Geberit range of products throughout Western Australia, South Australia and Northern Territory. Working with Architects, Facilities, Engineers, Builders, Plumbers and Developers as well as training all company staff on products and sales techniques, Jason developed the awareness, product specification and use through his region rapidly. These Product Development roles paved the way for Reece to drastically increase their market share, grow the range of products they import and distribute and disrupt the Australian construction market having a plumbing merchant import and distribute their own range of products.
Jason left school at the end of Year 12 to accept a position of “Office Assistant” at Channel 9 Adelaide before quickly being offered and accepting a contract role as a camera operator on a new game show called “Guess What” starring Andrew Fyfe and Alison Brahe. Jason expanded his works to include Adelaide Today (with Jan Beasley) KG’s Footy Show (with Ken “KG” Cunningham), Nine News (with Rob Kelvin and Kevin Crease), Humphrey, Hey Hey It’s Saturday and outside broadcasting events such and the SANFL Football from Football Park, Cricket from Adelaide Oval and the Adelaide Grand Prix.
