Less talk, more action

Jason Nelson

A seasoned and globally experienced Chairman and CEO Candidate for Prospect City Council North Ward 2022

About Jason

I am a long time resident of Prospect and the North Ward. I am the CEO of AusPress, a proud South Australian company and also the Independent Chair of Lincoln College in North Adelaide. My career has taken me global, allowing me to gain a real world perspective and understanding into different cultures, beliefs and practices.

I am devoted to my family and heavily committed to the community. I am an experienced CEO with 25 years in corporate business. I have strong management, governance, strategic planning, finance and leadership skills. I live by my motto of “less talk, more action” and want more for the “forgotten North” of Prospect.

The council have spent a lot of our rates over the past few years on major projects, which is nice. But it’s been at the expense of our roads, footpaths, parks and gardens. Spending needs to be reigned in, strategically planned and fiscally responsible. The budget needs to be balanced and more focussed on repairs and safety. I plan to advocate for better play spaces, more beautiful streetscapes, improved parking and traffic management, repairs to roads and footpaths and faster responses to residential concerns. I look forward to serving the residents of the North Ward.
